Film #48: The Five-Year Engagement (2012)
Laughed a ton while watching this (slightly dark) rom-com starring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt.

Film #47: The Avengers (2012)
I obviously don’t need to tell you how awesome The Avengers was! Joss Whedon did such an amazing job. Like. That huge battle scene was so fluid. I won’t spoil so just go watch! Make sure you stay til the very end after the credits. There are two extra scenes. :))
PS Can someone gif the very last after credits scene? It was so perfect.
Film #46: Cabin in the Woods (2011)
So I’ve been avoiding horror/scary flicks for awhile now since when I was younger I had to watch a crap ton. You’d think I would be desensitized by it all, but unfortunately my dream state always makes everything scarier. Anyways, Cabin in the Woods was hilarious. Thank you Fran Kranz (you were the only awesome thing about Dollhouse). Time to devour this blueberry cake donut that I got from Dippity Donuts after the movie… and hopefully forget my troubles.
Film #45: Wrath of the Titans (2012)
Giggled the whole way through. I really really really wished Zeus (Liam Neeson) and Hades (Ralph Fiennes) high-fived during the final sequence. That would have been amazing and necessary.
Film #44: Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey (2011)
This was such an inspiring and touching documentary about Kevin Clash and his journey to success.
Film #43: Mr. Deeds (2002)
Was browsing through Netflix and decided to watch Mr. Deeds. Just your usual Adam Sandler movie.
Film #42: Lockout (2012)
Taken 2: Space? Basically. Haha. The premise is that Snow (Guy Pearce) has to save the President’s daughter by infiltrating a prison… in space (DUN DUN DUNNNNN!). I know. Best premise ever. Right? Guy Pearce has some really good one liners. It’s your typical mindless action movie. Pretty silly and ridiculous.
Film #41: The Raid: Redemption (Serbuan maut) (2011)
There’s not a dull moment in this fast-paced Indonesian action film. Every bit of this film was so intense. I was out of breath by the end. My heart was racing. Kelly called me right when I stepped out of the theater and she thought I was crying. I wasn’t, but I was really just overtaken by the film’s momentum. The fight sequences were so brutal and yet so fluid. Definitely, well done. I highly suggest this film if you enjoy a great action film. Just be prepared for constant action though. Remember: it’s brutal.
Film #40: Dylan Dog: Dead of Night (2011)
I highly suggest that you stay away from this movie haha. The only reason why I watched it was for Sam Huntington and that’s the only reason why I continued to go through with watching this movie. He was super hilarious as Dylan Dog’s (Brandon Routh) zombie sidekick, Marcus. He definitely kept things entertaining. Other than that, there’s no real reason you should be watching this movie.
Film #39: Battle Royale (Batoru Rowaiaru) (2000)
Brudder bought the Battle Royale Blu-ray Special Edition set. I remember watching bits and pieces of this movie awhile back. Tonight we decided to watch the Director’s Cut.
Film #38: The Hunger Games (2012)
Overall, it was awesome. Having already read the books made it sorta hard to enjoy the movie since you already know the twists and how it ends. Nevertheless, I think they did a great job at hitting all the key points. I wished that some parts didn’t feel so rushed, but understandably the movie can’t be 3 hours long. Also, I wished that it wasn’t PG-13 (even though the targeted audience is teens). It definitely could have been much darker and grittier. Maybe then the tension and action sequences could have felt more life threatening.
Side note: I am thoroughly traumatized after having watched the Breaking Dawn Part 2 trailer. All the cheering and the wooooos really creeped me the eff out. I kinda forgot that I was sitting in a theater comprised of mostly high school girls and their moms.
Film #36: The Trip (2010)
Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon go on a road trip. Pretty much sums up the movie. This scene was probably one of the best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8BPP4ASQWo I couldn’t stop laughing.
Film #35: Friends With Kids
Friends With Kids is about two best friends (Adam Scott & Jennifer Westfeldt) who aren’t attracted to each other, but want a baby without the messy marriage stuff. Some of my favorite actors are in this hilarious romantic dramedy. However, Chris O’Dowd was seriously so good.
