+ A high school friend hooked me and company up with free tickets to the Improv. Always a fun time!
- Scheduled for research during Spring Break. Made NEGATIVE $2/hr. For three days :(
+ Went to Kaju Tofu Restaurant with Sheryl and Aaron. I wish I got the spiciest option but I chickened out and only got ‘Very Spicy’
+ Able to read for fun now and have free time to draw more.
+ Went to the Costa Mesa Omelette Parlor with some fun people from research for breakfast on Wednesday. The only negative thing about this whole experience was trying to find the actual place. It’s a real hidden gem. Actually, another negative thing was that we all had to go into research afterwards.
+ Went to Rooster Cafe with one of my besties, Sophia, for brunch today. We both tried their breakfast burrito! It was pretty delicious. She also ordered their Mexican Mocha, which was also yummy and warming. I just had a glass of water (that tasted like cucumbers).
+ Finally picked out a color for my last wall. It has been left primered for two years now. My mama and I decided on a light orange color called “Marmalade”. I really can’t wait to finally get the wall painted! There’s gonna be a lot of remodeling and such to get done.
+ Hung out with Sophia afterwards at my house. Watched random/awesome vids on the YouTube and stuff on my DVR.
+ Finally found an affordable pair of oxfords/brogues! I like them enough, but I’m not in love in love with them. Still searching!
+ Learned so much stuff about skin care tonight at my cousin’s cosmetology school. She asked me to be her model for her class. It was so bizarre though to have strangers touch my skin and stare at my face for a long period of time.
- Haven’t really started studying again for the MCATs. Also, I’ve been getting extremely stressed over about med schools and such. It’s such an overwhelming thing to think about. SIGH.
+ Visited Moon to cook dduk bok gi! MY FAVORITE. We watched The Little Mermaid (one of my faves) while we ate our lunch.
“Y DO CUTE THINGS HAPPEN TO YOU IM JEALOUS ): UR THE POPULAR GIRL IN CLASS. IM IN MARCHING BAND AND YOURE A CHEERLEADER. YOURE ON THE FIELD AND IM IN THE BLEACHERS. I WORE A SWEATSHIRT. U WEAR HIGH HEELS.”—Kellycakes (Note: I am so not the popular girl ever)
what is your favorite question so far? what kinds of questions do you want people to ask you? WHATDOYOUWANTFROMMEEEEEE
It surprises me that you guys actually ask me questions. When I created this formspring, I was hesitant because I didn’t think anyone would be interested.
I don’t really have a favorite question yet. People can ask me anything really since I can easily choose which ones to answer and which ones to ignore (so far I have ignored none… it’s just taking longer to answer some of these questions) Keep the questions coming :)
What I want or at least what I wished was that people would feel comfortable enough to just ask me questions in person to begin with. THATSWHATIWANTFROMYOUWHOEVERYOUARE.
Here are the main things: when plans follow through (which is rare but when it does all work out, I couldn’t be happier), when friends are reliable, spending time with people that I care about and that care about me, drawing, volunteering and giving my time to others, and traveling.
Here are the little things: blueberry tart frozen yogurt, mint n chip ice cream, root beer floats, good food in general, discovering new and good places to eat, fresh laundry straight from the dryer, cooking, playing rock band, staying indoors with some tea on a cold/rainy day, sunny days with a cool breeze.
You're stranded on an island. The only three things you've managed to bring with you ?
I would bring… the ultimate manual of how to either escape or live on the island (aka build an awesome treehouse!), a sketchbook & pens (to draw and also document interesting things on the island), and umm… a knife (it seems like a knife would be one of the more useful things to have to survive on an island?)
I don’t know. Can I just bring a teleporting device and some batteries?

My ideas for color palettes come from a variety of places. Sometimes I just open up Photoshop and if I don’t feel inspired enough to draw, I’ll play around with color combinations to use in future drawings. Another good place to test out color palettes is http://www.colourlovers.com/
Other times my color ideas/inspirations come from fabric patterns, photographs, etc.
I don’t know. Whatever looks good together really or catches my interest.
